Scrutiny is Key

Bienvenidos, greetings. Welcome to this week’s blog. I am happy you could join me. Before I get started, I would like to let everyone know how appreciative I am of your support. Being on a Plantbased lifestyle is not easy at all. I can’t tell you how I’ve made a mess of some of my eating options. In the past, I’ve written about one location in Riyadh, Zafran Indian Bistro, that I honestly thought was an eatery with great vegan-friendly options.  For those of you who might have visited this place on my recommendation, I truly and sincerely apologies. After scrutinizing this institution, I found out that they use ghee as one of their main ingredients for almost all their dishes. Even after reading the ingredients on the menu and asking them to cook my food with olive oil instead of butter, I still wrongly consumed some animal product.

Not for anyone on a Plantbased, Vegan, Diet.

Catching Up with Local Eateries

Let’s move to the theme of today’s piece. I’ll be briefing discussing two locations in the capital city of Riyadh with some pretty tasty vegan options on the menu. That’s correct, vegan options right on the menu. It seems that is the best way to decide on food options when eating out. Sometimes, no matter how much a person tries to veganize a food item, one still can’t guarantee it will meet the Plantbased criteria. Well, the first eatery on the list is Sushi Counter. I started out with some delightful green tea as a beverage. One thing I love about drinking green tea is that it usually contains no sugar. For the main course, I had the sweet & spicy hijiki rolls, the mango chutney California rolls, and the veggie burrito. I also had me the poke bowl, which was great.  This is one of my Favorites

The next location on today’s list is none other than the famous Burger Fuel. This place was one of my favorites before I became a vegan, so I was happy to know they still had something on the menu that I could eat and appreciate. Let’s get down to business. I ordered me a V-Dub without the cheese or sauce, which makes it completed vegan. It mentioned this point right on the menu. I also order me the Motobites, which are great tasting, as well. Now, you know I had to get me some Spud Fries and onions. Sorry, if you don’t know by now, I absolutely love fries. I know they’re not healthy, but that is my vice. Back to the story, in general, the food is always good at Burger Fuel. Again, for better insight into my review of this eatery, please click on the link below.
