I’m Back, After a Long Hiatus

I’ve Been Quite Busy Traveling, But I’m Back

First, allow me to start today's blog with a heartfelt apology for being away for so long. As some of you may know, I've been traveling during the last several months. As such, I've been recording content for my YouTube channel. Now, that is not to say I've forgotten about you. I just had to shift my attention for a moment. Nevertheless, I'm back and ready to provide you with some insight into my travel locations and some of the great food finds I've had the privilege of enjoying. I would, however, like to thank all those people who kept coming back to my website to see whether I had new content or not. I'm happy to know that many did visit, even though I didn't have anything new at that time. Moving forward, thank you for coming back, and I welcome any newcomers to the blog, Bienvenidos. Now, let’s get started.

Layover in Madrid, Spain

Now, where do I begin? As I've mentioned in the past, I traveled to the beautiful country of Peru. While there, I had the pleasure of visiting some of the best sites I have ever been to in my entire life. Before getting to Peru, I stopped off in the beautiful country of Spain. Although I only had a one-day layover in Madrid, I did have the opportunity to visit an excellent restaurant and a delightful dessert location. The best out of the two was, of course, the dessert location. It was a quaint little bakery called Bite Me Café. It happens to be owned by a bright young Canadian man. Nevertheless, the language wasn't a barrier neither for the owner of the shop or me. One of the beauties of being from Latin American descent is the ability to speak the poetic language of Spanish. Our First Day in Peru

After having a great stopover in Madrid, Spain, we headed to Lima, Peru. Before I divulge details about my trip to Peru, I would like to give a warm thanks to Ms. Smith. I rather not mention her exact name as to provide her with anonymity. During our first day, we took an excellent bus tour of the Capital City, Lima. It was quite charming. There was an enormous number of stores, shops, and parks. There were also plenty of beautiful murals throughout the whole city. Although it was pretty cold in Lima, we did go to the beach area and witness plenty of people eating by the beachside and taking advantage of the paragliding. After visiting so many places on our first day, we were famished. Thus, we ended our day in Lima, at a restaurant called Veda Restaurante. Moving Right Along

On our second day in Peru, we headed to the mysterious city of Nazca. We spent approximately two (2) nights and three (3) days in this small city. I must tell you that it was a fantastic way to spend three days.  Since we drove from Lima to Nazca, it took us quite a bit of time to get to our destination. By the time we arrived, we had decided to get some dinner, since it was late in the day. The food and drink we had were one of the best we have had on this trip thus far. The restaurant called La Maison Blanche had plenty of vegan options for us to choose from on their menu. That’s just the beginning. Then, we visited the Nazca Lines. We experienced the Lines from a small propeller airplane. Click on the following two links below to find out the details of these adventures.

Heading to our Next Adventure

Once we finished our trip to Nazca, we headed off to one of the greatest cities in the world, Cusco. It is one of those cities I have always wanted to visit, and now I can scratch it off my bucket list. For those of you who wish to visit the city of Cusco, please make sure to visit your physician first for a medical checkup and perhaps some medication for altitude sickness. Most tourist locations in Cusco are above 11, 500 feet above sea level. Stay tuned as you won’t want to miss the experiences I am going to bring you.
